About Monarch Market by Crescent Communities
Monarch Market is a destination for crafted culinary experiences in the center of Uptown Charlotte featuring 13 vendors, 1 full-service restaurant, 3 bars and private event space.
Monarch Market by Crescent Communities is a food court in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is listed at 101 N Tryon St #105, Charlotte, NC 28202, which places it among the local businesses of Charlotte that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as caterer, event venue, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
These businesses tend to have short hours built around lunch and early dinner rather than late-night service, so checking the listed hours before heading out in Charlotte saves a wasted trip. Seating is often limited or first-come, and many locations lean toward takeout or delivery rather than dining in. Prices are generally lower than full-service restaurants in the same category, which makes this group a reliable option for a fast, inexpensive meal across North Carolina. Portions can be smaller at food-court counters than at a stand-alone restaurant, so ordering two items is common for a full meal. Many of these businesses are independently owned even inside a shared food hall, so hours, accepted payment methods and whether a counter takes online orders can differ from stall to stall within the same building.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (336) 252-4304. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, monarchmarketclt.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 332 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Charlotte is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Delicious sushi, lively food market with multiple food options and a bar. We'll visit again! Air Conditioner not working so fans everywhere (28th June 2026) we were told AC has been out for more than a month hence 4* for atmosphere

I think the atmosphere could be more fun if they played something other than sports on the big screen. Either way the food is delicious!! The Indian food spot (Curry Gate) was absolutely delicious!!!!! 10/10 Tender chicken, fall off the bone meat for the Chicken Briyani and their butter naan was soft in the middle and toasty on the outside. Chef's kiss. We also got food from Seoul Good, Pasta Crush, and Im-Peck-able Chicken. They also have free ice water for the ones sitting inside.

My fiancé and i were visiting from out of town and popped into monarch based on our hotel’s recommendation and we loved it! Beautiful atmosphere and a huge variety of food. We got the sushi and it was amazing! We also had the pleasure of chatting to the bartender, Adrian, as we were waiting for our train and she is the best!! Extremely nice and her drinks were all incredible! She really made the whole experience memorable 🦋

This evening we went to a Free comedy show in downtown, yes free. It’s not often we (as a society) hear free…so we checked it out. The comedian’s were ok, not great, but they held their own while giving us a chance at tickling our funny bone. Sean the host was also funny and I give him high marks…drinks were great, although we had to get them, no wait staff. We got our food from the food court one floor down (which they allow, since they didn’t have a kitchen)…our chicken cheesesteak was delicious. If you get a chance, I would recommend heading downtown (aka uptown) to catch a free comedy show at 7:00 Friday night…we parked on the street, $4.50. This is a recommended event…

Great variety of places to try in here! I tried the monday combo ($17) from off the hook and my boyfriend got the double smash burger ($23 with drink) from the place right next to it. Both tasted amazing and were very flavorful. Only complaint would be the portions being a little small for the price. Definitely would come back and try a new place in here, it was very clean!
